I am scheduled to have surgery for a heel spur. Has anyone had this done and how did it work out for you?

I have the orthotics and they haven’t helped it has actually gotten worse to the point that I can hardly walk adn I am constantly in pain so I decided to have the surgery to get it removed once and for all, I would like to hear from others who have undergone the surgery and how it worked out for you either good or bad. Thanks for your help.
